About us

Hi, we are Donna and David, and we have been together since "The Teens", early 2011 to be precise.

Donna runs doggieholidayhomes.com/donna while David has retired from consulting in corporate IT since 2024, to concentrate on things closer to home.

Donna is ex-army nursing core and runs a "Tight ship!" at home while David loves DIY and is a bit of a nerd.  We make a great team.

Between us we have 6 adult children and one grandchild and flit around the country keeping the contact going.

Built upon the expansion of our own portfolio, we are also managing other peoples properties for them.

How we started

Since getting together, we have worked very hard at home and in business from Zero.  Rather than live the life of holidays and partying, we invested our savings over 10 years into Buy-to-let.

With the advent of section 24 and many disappointments with tenants, it has made us asses our long-term investment.  We decided to experiment with short-term rental when a tenant decided to leave due to getting married in 2023.  Due to that success, as each place became available, we have converted them.

In the meantime, friends and family have taken an interest in our journey and we are now managing some places we do not own on their behalf.
